Young Event Horse Information, 2010

Results, Ocala Young Event Horse Series I, February 2010

Results, Ocala Young Event Horse Series II, March 2010
(from eventingscores.com)

Introduction: New Spring Farm is very pleased to offer two USEA Young Horse Event (YEH) Qualifier competitions in Florida early in the 2010 season, as part of a three-venue series in collaboration with organizer Alice Andrews of Rocking Horse Stables, who will conduct a one-day venue there on February 27. Jumping courses for both age divisions will be set easier and lower than at qualifiers later in the year. We hope that this will lead to an annual availability of YEH qualifiers in that area. Those interested in complete details of the YEH program should read the material at: http://www.useventing.com/competitions.php?section=yeh.

Special Note: Just-For-Funners Division March 9 -- at the second venue, at the Florida Horse Park, there will be an unrecognized experimental division for late-bloomers, conducted at the 4-year-old YEH level, open to horses of all ages. This should be of great value to those wanting to introduce an inexperienced horse to eventing, to get an expert opinion of talent from a world's authority, to learn first-hand about YEH without competitive angst, and to have some great fun. Try it out!! This is an experiment that could take hold and spread.
